Biography
Hachim Mastour (born June 15, 1998, in Reggio Emilia, Italy) is a Moroccan-Italian footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder. Born to Moroccan parents, he holds dual citizenship and is known for his technical skills and dribbling ability.
Career Highlights
Mastour began at AC Reggiana before joining AC Milan’s academy in 2012 at age 14 for €500,000. He gained international fame through viral YouTube videos showcasing his skills, including online battles with stars like Neymar.
Despite early promise and being named on Milan’s bench at 15, he never made a competitive appearance for the club. His professional career included unsuccessful loan spells at Málaga (one appearance) and PEC Zwolle (six matches).
After Milan released him in 2018, Mastour played for various clubs including Lamia FC (Greece), Reggina (Italy), and several Moroccan teams. He scored his first professional goal while on loan at Carpi.
International Career
Initially representing Italy U-16 (six caps, one goal), Mastour switched to Morocco in 2015, making his senior debut at 16 in a qualifier against Libya.
Current Status
After returning from Morocco in 2024 and playing in the first league, Hachim trained in Reggio Emilia and is now playing for 2025-2026 season for Virtus Verona in the Italian Lega Pro Division
