Retshidisitswe Mlenga

Biography

Born 27 February 2000, Retshidisitswe Mlenga is one of South Africa’s most exciting sprinting talents. A 100m specialist, he announced himself on the world stage as a teenager, winning gold at the World U18 Championships and adding a silver and a bronze medal at the same competition across different editions. He has also claimed silver at the World University Games, confirming his ability to perform at the highest international level. His personal best of 9.99 (with a wind-assisted 9.93) places him firmly among the continent’s elite short sprinters and currently ranks him in the global top 65 in the 100m. A competitor with both youth pedigree and senior credentials, Mlenga continues to be a key figure in South African sprinting.
