Kangaroo Project

A JUMP initiative for excellence in athletics jumps

A leap for excellence in jumping disciplines

The “Kangaroo” project is an innovative initiative created and led by JUMP in partnership with ATL-Etica Impresa Sociale, dedicated to technical specialization in athletics jumping disciplines: triple jump, long jump, high jump, and pole vault.

Under the direct guidance of Gianni Iapichino, CEO of JUMP and Fiamme Oro coach, this project represents our commitment to creating a bridge between sporting excellence and new generations of athletes, offering a unique pathway for talent development in jumping disciplines.

World-Class Testimonial

Olympic and world champion Pedro Pablo Pichardo joins us as the special testimonial of the Canguro Project, bringing his exceptional expertise and passion for the triple jump to inspire the next generation.

Pichardo, one of only eight athletes in history to have jumped over 18 meters, represents the level of excellence that the Kangaroo Project aspires to cultivate.

Jump’s leadership role

As the driving force behind the Kangaroo Project, JUMP brings its expertise in sports management and athlete development to create a comprehensive program that addresses every aspect of jump disciplines excellence.

Founded by Gianni Iapichino, alongside his daughter Larissa – an international long jump star and recent European indoor champion – and long-time manager Silvia Saliti, JUMP leverages its unique position in the athletics world to:

  • Connect promising athletes with world-class coaching expertise
  • Facilitate international technical exchanges between different jumping schools
  • Create pathways for talent development outside traditional structures
  • Elevate the profile and appreciation of jumping disciplines globally

Through JUMP’s network and Gianni Iapichino’s vision, the Kangaroo Project brings together the best minds in athletics jumps from Cuban, Portuguese, Bulgarian, and Italian schools of thought.

“We are very proud to have created this innovative partnership. Our goal at JUMP is to establish an international reference point for the development of new talents in jumping disciplines. By bringing together Pichardo’s team and our expertise, we’re creating something truly special that will enhance the entire jumping sector.”
